At Taylor Therapy, we understand not all chronic pain is the same. You can expect your therapist to perform a thorough evaluation and work with you to design your treatment plan. Your physical therapist will work with you to provide evidence-based treatment options to improve pain, quality of life, and get you moving again!
Interventions may include:
- Education to improve your knowledge and understanding of pain
- Education for pain management strategies including relaxation, mindfulness and stress reduction techniques
- Tips to improve sleep
- Exercise for gentle strengthening, flexibility, and aerobic activity
- Manual therapy to increase movement, range of motion, and decrease pain
- Posture awareness and instruction for ways to improve body mechanics
- Aquatic exercise
- Modalities such as braces, taping, ultrasound, and muscle stimulation
- Graded motor imagery, laterality, and mirror therapy
- Functional Dry Needling
Who can benefit?
- Individuals with ongoing pain
- Diagnoses such as fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome
- Individuals with pain that is unpredictable, widespread, and/or unresponsive to medication
- Individuals with a history of multiple treatment failures
- Pain that is acute or chronic but that causes worry of fear
